Driven by the entrepreneurial spirit, Jim Field developed his first subdivision in his hometown, Friendswood, Texas after graduating from college in 1982. Thereafter, he developed two more successful subdivisions in the community. Jim quickly expanded his real estate knowledge by virtue of taking advantage of investment opportunities during the financial crisis in Texas during the late 1980s. Proceeding the following decades, Jim established The Field Companies in 1997 and began to expand his real estate portfolio acquiring office buildings, retail centers, and developing over $500 million in real estate across the United States. Jim continued his endeavors by constructing build-to-suits for Fortune 1,000 companies in Texas.
Jim currently lives in Austin, Texas. Married for almost forty years, he is inspired daily by his wife, Kathy; as well as his son, Grady and daughter, Jamie. Together continuing the family’s real estate legacy, The Field Companies has built a reputation on integrity, professionalism, and philanthropy. Jim enjoys “giving back” to local communities. He has been on the board of directors of many non-profit organizations and has donated his time and money to help improve a better future for young children and Christian pursuits.

Kathy currently lives in Austin, Texas. Married for almost forty years, she is inspired daily by her husband, Jim; as well as her son, Grady and daughter, Jamie. Together continuing the family’s real estate legacy, The Field Companies has built a reputation on integrity, professionalism, and philanthropy. Kathy enjoys managing and operating the family owned business while in her spare time enjoys spending time at their ranch in Willow City, Texas.

Grady Field began his commercial real estate career in 2014 after graduating from Texas Tech University. Grady has broad experience in retail acquisitions and leasing; as well as office, industrial, and ranch sales. His duties include new business development, underwriting investment opportunities, due diligence, and team management. He brings a wide range of knowledge in his history of working with investors, developers and business owners. Whether working with investors or business owner/occupiers, Grady has found success by immersing himself in each client’s specific needs and pairing them with the right real estate asset to achieve their goals.
Grady received Austin Business Journal’s Top Producer award in 2015.
Born and raised in Texas, Grady enjoys hunting, snow skiing, triathlons, and traveling around the world with his wife, Haley and son, Jack.

Jamie is no stranger to the Real Estate industry. She obtained her Real Estate license at the age of 18. With over 17 years experience in the industry, Jamie has both expertise in Commercial and Residential and various markets including Austin and Dallas. She continues her passion of working in the Real Estate industry offering years of expertise at a small Boutique firm in Dallas, Texas. She is currently heading and growing the Commercial Real Estate program while mentoring agents looking to expand their knowledge in the Commercial Real Estate division. She continues to be a top producer with over 10 million in transactions every year.
Jamie's mentorship does not stop in Real Estate- she is also a professor at the University of Texas at Dallas and she recently obtained her PhD in Arts and Technology at the University of Texas at Dallas. She believes you must learn and understand various backgrounds to be appreciative of future opportunities which, she instills in her Real Estate and teaching endeavors. In her spare time, she likes to travel, ski, and take on her own remodel projects while spending time with her husband, Darren and son, Colten.
